Serenissima. One of ATS's personal backers, Count Giovanni Volpi, owner of Scuderia Serenissima, hired Bizzarrini to update a Ferrari 250 GT SWB, with chassis number #2819GT to help GTO specifications. This resulted in your Ferrari 250 GT SWB Drogo also referred to as the "Breadvan".Bizzarrini's engineering company, Societa Autostar, was commissioned to design a V-12 engine for any GT car to become built by another dissatisfied Ferrari customer, Ferruccio Lamborghini. Bizzarrini worked since 1964 for Iso Rivolta and formulated three models: Iso Rivolta GT, Iso Grifo both A3L in addition to A3C versions. His work was to formulate a pressed steel framework chassis for Iso automobiles. Renzo Rivolta hired him as consultant towards the Iso Gordon GT venture which became the Iso Rivolta GT. The Iso Gordon GT prototype was developed from the Gordon-Keeble. The Gordon Keeble GT had been designed in 1960 by Giugiaro. Bizzarrini tested the car or truck and was impressed by the powerful V8 Corvette engine as well as the rear De Dion tube for the GT:'Rivolta experienced me test the prototype. I liked its De Dion pipe and especially the Corvette engine. It was the first-time I had driven just one. It was superior in order to Ferrari's engines, having the same power but which has a more immediate throttle answer. 'The Iso Rivolta GT ended up being a Giugiaro designed several seater with beautiful body, speed, comfort and handling, and was a productive car for ISO using 799 units sold. Powered by a 327ci Chevrolet Corvette V8 engine which has a classic De Dion back suspension design with pushed steel monocoque bodywork more than pressed steel frame framework. Unveiled to the push in 1963, production continued until 1970.The Iso Grifo A3L seemed to be a monstrous idea for just a super coupé, the L coming from Lusso. The result of the brilliant Giugiaro and Bizzarrini doing work together, it was based with a shortened Iso Rivolta GT framework and was debuted in the 1963 Turin show. The Grifo epitomised the 1960s Italian style with its handsome low and large handmade bodywork. It was the quickest production car tested by means of Autocar Magazine in 1966 which has a top speed of 160 mph (260 km/h). Later versions of your Grifo were powered by the big block Chevrolet Corvette 435 bhp (324 kW; 441 PS) serps. These 90 handbuilt units are distinguishable by the raised "pagoda style" deal bonnet. Some of these Iso Grifo 7 Litri units were rebuilt later with a great deal larger engines.

The thinking behind Bizzarrini was to operate the 3AL cars for competition. The competition versions of the Grifo were named Iso Grifo A3C, C for Competizione as well as Corsa. A new lightweight riveted aluminium lightweight body was designed and built by Piero Drogo. It was an strongly designed machine, oriented to endurance contests. It uses normal ISO underpinnings though the engine was moved further last the chassis frame than the Grifo A3L, protruding well into the actual driver's cabin, fitted with hot cameras and fed by 4 big Weber carburettors, giving more than 300 bhp (298 kW; 406 PS).
