Serenissima. One of ATS's personal backers, Count Giovanni Volpi, owner of Scuderia Serenissima, hired Bizzarrini to improve a Ferrari 250 GT SWB, with chassis number #2819GT to help GTO specifications. This resulted in your Ferrari 250 GT SWB Drogo also referred to as the "Breadvan".Bizzarrini's engineering company, Societa Autostar, was commissioned to design a V-12 engine for any GT car to possibly be built by another unhappy Ferrari customer, Ferruccio Lamborghini. Lamborghini considered the resulting engine to become too highly strung, and ordered that it be detuned.
Bizzarrini worked since 1964 for Iso Rivolta and produced three models: Iso Rivolta GT, Iso Grifo both A3L along with A3C versions. His work was to formulate a pressed steel body chassis for Iso autos. Renzo Rivolta hired him as consultant on the Iso Gordon GT project which became the Iso Rivolta GT. The Iso Gordon GT prototype was made from the Gordon-Keeble. The Gordon Keeble GT had been designed in 1960 by simply Giugiaro. Bizzarrini tested the vehicle and was impressed with the powerful V8 Corvette engine as well as the rear De Dion tube used by the GT:'Rivolta had me test the prototype. I liked its De Dion tubing and especially the Corvette serp. It was the very first time that I had driven one particular. It was superior for you to Ferrari's engines, having the same power but that has a more immediate throttle reaction. 'The Iso Rivolta GT seemed to be a Giugiaro designed a number of seater with beautiful body, speed, comfort and handling, and was a prosperous car for ISO using 799 units sold. Powered by a 327ci Chevrolet Corvette V8 engine that has a classic De Dion rear suspension design with constrained steel monocoque bodywork above pressed steel frame framework. Unveiled to the media in 1963, production continued until 1970.The Iso Grifo A3L was a monstrous idea for just a super coupé, the L coming via Lusso. The result of the brilliant Giugiaro and Bizzarrini doing work together, it was based over a shortened Iso Rivolta GT chassis and was debuted for the 1963 Turin show. The Grifo epitomised the actual 1960s Italian style which consists of handsome low and large handmade bodywork. It was the most effective production car tested simply by Autocar Magazine in 1966 with a top speed of one hundred sixty mph (260 km/h). Later versions of the Grifo were powered by the big block Chevrolet Corvette 435 bhp (324 kW; 441 PS) serp. These 90 handbuilt units are distinguishable with the raised "pagoda style" details bonnet. Some of these Iso Grifo 7 Litri items were rebuilt later with a great deal larger engines.

The concept of Bizzarrini was to utilize the 3AL cars for rivalry. The competition versions from the Grifo were named Iso Grifo A3C, C for Competizione or Corsa. A new lightweight riveted aluminium lightweight body was designed and built by Piero Drogo. It was an aggressively designed machine, oriented to endurance backrounds. It uses normal ISO underpinnings though the engine was moved further last the chassis frame versus Grifo A3L, protruding well into your driver's cabin, fitted with hot cameras and fed by some big Weber carburettors, giving more than 500 bhp (298 kW; 406 PS).
All-around 29 A3C sport cars were built beneath the ISO name. Five of these 30 cars were bodied within plastic/fiberglass by Piero Drogo at Carrozzeria Sports Cars throughout Modena. A3Cs were widely ran. Some cars entered the actual 1964 and 1965 The Mans 24 hour, 1965 Nürburgring 1000 along with 1965 Sebring.
