Serenissima. One of ATS's personal backers, Count Giovanni Volpi, owner of Scuderia Serenissima, hired Bizzarrini to update a Ferrari 250 GT SWB, with chassis number #2819GT in order to GTO specifications. This resulted in the actual Ferrari 250 GT SWB Drogo also referred to as the "Breadvan".Bizzarrini's engineering company, Societa Autostar, was commissioned to design a V-12 engine to get a GT car to possibly be built by another not satisfied Ferrari customer, Ferruccio Lamborghini. Bizzarrini worked since 1964 intended for Iso Rivolta and designed three models: Iso Rivolta GT, Iso Grifo both A3L as well as A3C versions. His work was to develop a pressed steel framework chassis for Iso automobiles. Renzo Rivolta hired him as consultant to the Iso Gordon GT task which became the Iso Rivolta GT. The Iso Gordon GT prototype was developed from the Gordon-Keeble. The Gordon Keeble GT was designed in 1960 by Giugiaro. Bizzarrini tested the car and was impressed from the powerful V8 Corvette engine plus the rear De Dion tube for the GT:'Rivolta received me test the prototype. I liked its De Dion tube and especially the Corvette serp. It was the new I had driven a single. It was superior to be able to Ferrari's engines, having the same power but that has a more immediate throttle reply. 'The Iso Rivolta GT was a Giugiaro designed a number of seater with beautiful body, speed, comfort and handling, and was a productive car for ISO having 799 units sold. Powered by a 327ci Chevrolet Corvette V8 engine with a classic De Dion backed suspension design with pressed steel monocoque bodywork above pressed steel frame framework. Unveiled to the click in 1963, production continued until 1970.The Iso Grifo A3L was a monstrous idea for just a super coupé, the L coming by Lusso. The result of your brilliant Giugiaro and Bizzarrini working together, it was based with a shortened Iso Rivolta GT framework and was debuted on the 1963 Turin show. The Grifo epitomised the actual 1960s Italian style having its handsome low and wide handmade bodywork. It was the quickest production car tested by means of Autocar Magazine in 1966 having a top speed of 160 mph (260 km/h). Later versions of this Grifo were powered with a big block Chevrolet Corvette 435 bhp (324 kW; 441 PS) serps. These 90 handbuilt units are distinguishable by the raised "pagoda style" deal bonnet. Some of these Iso Grifo 7 Litri items were rebuilt later with a great deal larger engines.

The idea of Bizzarrini was to use the 3AL cars for competition. The competition versions with the Grifo were named Iso Grifo A3C, C for Competizione or Corsa. A new lightweight riveted aluminum body was designed and built by Piero Drogo. It was an aggressively designed machine, oriented to endurance contests. It uses normal ISO underpinnings even so the engine was moved further in the chassis frame as opposed to Grifo A3L, protruding well into the driver's cabin, fitted with hot cameras and fed by 4 big Weber carburettors, giving more than 400 bhp (298 kW; 406 PS).
