Bizzarrini S. p. A. was an Italian automotive manufacturer from the 1960s founded by past Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and ISO professional, Giotto Bizzarrini. The company built few highly developed and innovative sport and racing automobiles before failing in 1969. Notable models include this 5300 GT Strada and also the P538S.Originally Prototipi Bizzarrini s. r. l., the name was altered to Bizzarrini S. p. A. in 1966. The Bizzarrini marque has become revived with many concept cars in the actual 2000s.Giotto Bizzarrini was delivered in Livorno, Italy in 1926. His father was any rich landowner who got their start in a family with robust roots in Tuscany and the city of Livorno. His grandfather, also named Giotto Bizzarrini, was a biologist who had caused Guglielmo Marconi on his inventions, especially the radio, following which one of the Livorno Library sections was named The Bizzarrini Collection.Bizzarrini graduated as an engineer inside University of Pisa within 1953. Bizzarrini worked since 1964 for Iso Rivolta and designed three models: Iso Rivolta GT, Iso Grifo both A3L as well as A3C versions. His work was to produce a pressed steel framework chassis for Iso autos. Renzo Rivolta hired him as consultant for the Iso Gordon GT venture which became the Iso Rivolta GT. The Iso Gordon GT prototype was developed from the Gordon-Keeble. The Gordon Keeble GT has been designed in 1960 by Giugiaro. Bizzarrini tested the auto and was impressed by the powerful V8 Corvette engine as well as the rear De Dion tube employed for the GT:'Rivolta got me test the prototype. I liked its De Dion pipe and especially the Corvette serp. It was the very first time I had driven one. It was superior to Ferrari's engines, having the same power but using a more immediate throttle answer. 'The Iso Rivolta GT had been a Giugiaro designed four seater with beautiful human body, speed, comfort and handling, and was a prosperous car for ISO using 799 units sold. Unveiled to the mass media in 1963, production continued until 1970.The Iso Grifo A3L had been a monstrous idea for just a super coupé, the L coming through Lusso. The result of this brilliant Giugiaro and Bizzarrini functioning together, it was based on the shortened Iso Rivolta GT chassis and was debuted with the 1963 Turin show. The Grifo epitomised the 1960s Italian style featuring a handsome low and broad handmade bodywork. It was the most effective production car tested by means of Autocar Magazine in 1966 having a top speed of one hundred sixty mph (260 km/h). Later versions of the Grifo were powered by way of big block Chevrolet Corvette 435 bhp (324 kW; 441 PS) engine. These 90 handbuilt units are distinguishable from the raised "pagoda style" details bonnet. Some of these Iso Grifo 7 Litri units were rebuilt later with even bigger engines.

The idea of Bizzarrini was to utilize the 3AL cars for opposition. The competition versions from the Grifo were named Iso Grifo A3C, C for Competizione or maybe Corsa. Close to 29 A3C sport cars were built within the ISO name. Five of these 29 cars were bodied inside plastic/fiberglass by Piero Drogo on Carrozzeria Sports Cars within Modena. A3Cs were widely ran. Some cars entered the 1964 and 1965 The Mans 24 hour, 1965 Nürburgring 1000 along with 1965 Sebring. It achieved a Le Mans class win in both years as well as a 9th overall in 1965 with no factory support. A3Cs were one of the fastest cars on LeMans' Mulsanne Straight in both years.
