Bizzarrini Utes. p. A. was an Italian automotive manufacturer in the 1960s founded by former Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and ISO engineer, Giotto Bizzarrini. The company built only a few highly developed and sophisticated sport and racing cars before failing in 1969. Notable models include the actual 5300 GT Strada and the P538S.Originally Prototipi Bizzarrini utes. r. l., the name was transformed to Bizzarrini S. p. A. in 1966. The Bizzarrini marque has been revived with several concept cars in the 2000s.Giotto Bizzarrini was born in Livorno, Italy in 1926. His father was a rich landowner who originated a family with solid roots in Tuscany plus the city of Livorno. His grandfather, also named Giotto Bizzarrini, was a biologist who had caused Guglielmo Marconi on his / her inventions, especially the radio, following which one with the Livorno Library sections has been named The Bizzarrini Catalogue.Bizzarrini graduated as an engineer within the University of Pisa in 1953. He taught briefly ahead of joining Alfa Romeo throughout 1954. He worked for Alfa Romeo through 1954 to 1957. He began working with regard to Ferrari in 1957, eventually becoming controller of experimental, Sports and GT vehicle development. He worked at Ferrari like a developer, designer, test driver, and chief engineer for five years. Bizzarrini had been fired by Ferrari through the "palace revolt" of 1961. He became part connected with Automobili Turismo e Sport (ATS)), a company started by the ex-Ferrari engineers to develop a Formula 1 single seater and also a GT sport car, the A. T. S. Bizzarrini worked since 1964 pertaining to Iso Rivolta and developed three models: Iso Rivolta GT, Iso Grifo both A3L and also A3C versions. His work was to develop a pressed steel figure chassis for Iso cars. Renzo Rivolta hired him as consultant on the Iso Gordon GT project which became the Iso Rivolta GT. The idea of Bizzarrini was to operate the 3AL cars for opposition. The competition versions with the Grifo were named Iso Grifo A3C, C for Competizione or perhaps Corsa. A new lightweight riveted alloy body was designed and also built by Piero Drogo. It was an aggressively designed machine, oriented to endurance backgrounds. All-around 29 A3C sport cars were built under the ISO name. Five of these 30 cars were bodied throughout plastic/fiberglass by Piero Drogo with Carrozzeria Sports Cars inside Modena. A3Cs were widely competed. Some cars entered this 1964 and 1965 Le Mans 24 hour, 1965 Nürburgring 1000 in addition to 1965 Sebring. It achieved a Le Mans class win in both years and a 9th overall in 1965 without having factory support. A3Cs were one on the fastest cars on LeMans' Mulsanne Right in both years.
